Modified Growth Releasing Factor aminos 1-29, commonly known as Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF(1-29), and referred to as CJC-1295 without DAC, is a synthetic version of the natural peptide signaling hormone Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH).
Mod GRF (1-29) (CJC-1295 no DAC) is a long-lasting analog of GHRH. Growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), also referred to as growth-hormone-releasing factor (GRF or GHRF) or somatocrinin, is a peptide hormone comprising 44 amino acids that is synthesized in the hypothalamus by the arcuate nucleus. GHRH stimulates the secretion of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. It is released in a pulsatile fashion, which in turn prompts the pulsatile release of GH. Additionally, this substance aids in promoting slow-wave sleep. The active segment of this GRF or GHRH peptide consists of a 29-amino acid chain and is correctly identified as GHRH 1-29. This pulsatile release of different peptides is influenced by a negative feedback loop inherent in the hGH axis, which regulates the quantity of hGH produced in the body to maintain homeostasis.
Mod GRF (1-29) (CJC-1295 no DAC) has been reported in vivo in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism to cause dose-dependent elevations in mean plasma GH levels by 2-10 times for over 6 days, along with a 1.5-3 fold increase in IGF-1 concentrations lasting 9-11 days following a single injection.
